All Good wishes for 2021,
Stay Healthy and Happy! This message is meant to be a cheer-up for 2021, the year that followed one of the most game-changing years in modern history: Covid-2020. We often talk about “game-changing” technologies or platform-concepts, but hasn’t 2020 been the most transformative year that we know? Well, it’s difficult to judge in what way our lives will have made a turn by lock-downs, curfew’s and restrictions all over the place, but we are convinced that it all will have a long-lasting impact. Let’s look to the year 2021 from the bright side: we have learned to appreciate basic stuff like the pleasure and healthy effects of simply walking. Sharing time with friends has become a precious moment. The number of clothes in your wardrobe is bigger than you realized. And, on the business front: digitalization has gained an enormous pace. New, ground-breaking ideas that would have taken years to realize are now already implemented. So our wish for 2021 will be: let’s look forward, let’s not expect that post-Covid will be the same as pre-Covid and let’s embrace the new opportunities that pop-up. We will try to support you with whatever we can. Viva 2021! |

Radboud Molijn was asked by the national radio broadcast NPO Radio 1 to comment on the news that the Olympic Games in Tokyo from July 23, 2021 were to be cancelled. Mr. Molijn commented that there is a fair chance for this cancellation. He mentioned that the mortality rate due to Covid-19 in Japan is low, very low when you compare this to the mortality in the Netherlands: nearly 13,000 compared to 5,000 in Japan, with a population that is 7 times more. 80% of the Japanese people don’t want these games according to several polls in Japan. Of course the cancellation will result in an enormous loss of capital, in claims due to redevelopment of house and real estate (the Olympic Village). Please Check up the broadcast. |
<INFO> Through a weekly update by DUJAT, that we managed for 13 years from our office and by JCC (THE JAPANESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY IN THE NETHERLANDS) we will bring you an update of news on the Netherlands and Japan. |
